Account deletion & data handling — for Google Play listing

This page describes how users of the Rebedta app can request deletion of their account, what data is removed or kept, and retention periods.

How to request account deletion

  1. Identify your account. Use the same email address you used to register in Rebedta (email/password sign-in).
  2. Send a deletion request by email to the developer at thanintom@gmail.com with subject line exactly: Rebedta - Account deletion request
  3. Include in the email body: your registered email, display name (if any), and a short confirmation that you want all Rebedta account data deleted.
  4. Verification. We may reply from the same address to confirm identity (e.g. confirm you control the registered email). Please respond within 14 days so we can complete the request.
  5. Completion. After verification, we delete the account and associated data as described below. You will receive a final confirmation email when processing is done (typically within 30 days of a verified request).
If you signed in only with a provider where we cannot verify email the same way, we will tell you in our reply what extra step is needed (still within reasonable identity checks).

Types of data deleted or retained

Deleted when your account is deleted (after verified request)

Account profileEmail, display name, password hash (email login), auth flags stored for your user.
Devices & IoT data tied to youDevice records, MQTT topics/metadata linked to your user, saved actuator states (e.g. LED pin state) tied to those devices.
Push (FCM)FCM device tokens registered for your user for Rebedta notifications.

May be retained for a limited time

Server & security logsTechnical logs (e.g. IP, timestamps, errors) may be kept up to 90 days for security and abuse prevention, then removed or aggregated so they no longer identify you.
Legal / complianceWhere law requires retention (e.g. tax/fraud), minimal data may be kept only as long as legally required, then deleted.
BackupsEncrypted backups may contain deleted data until the backup cycle rotates — typically not longer than 90 days after deletion from the live database.
