This policy explains how Rebedta handles personal information and device-related data when you use our mobile app, companion web experience, and connected IoT services. We aim to meet Google Play’s expectations for clarity and the User Data policy (read Google’s guidance to avoid common violations such as undisclosed collection, unsafe handling, or misleading descriptions).

1. Data we collect

Account & identity	Email address, display name, and (for email login) a password hash — not your plain password. If you use optional sign-in providers supported by the app, identifiers from that provider may be stored as described in that provider’s policy.
IoT devices	Device IDs/names you register, device type, connection status, timestamps (e.g. last activity), MQTT-related identifiers/topics needed to operate commands and telemetry, and operational fields such as sensor/actuator states you send or we display (e.g. line / airflow status where applicable).
Commands & telemetry	Messages you send to devices (e.g. on/off commands) and data your devices publish to our backend/broker for monitoring, automation, or notifications.
Push notifications	If you enable notifications, a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device token (or equivalent) linked to your account so we can deliver alerts when your hardware reports events.
Support & security	When you contact us or use password reset, we process the data you provide (e.g. email content). We may also process technical logs (IP address, timestamps, app version, error diagnostics) to secure and improve the service.

We do not require sensitive categories (health, precise location) for core Rebedta operation unless we clearly disclose and obtain permission for a specific optional feature in the app.

2. How we use your data

To create and maintain your account and authenticate you.
To pair, control, and monitor your registered devices and to show status in the app or web UI.
To deliver optional push notifications you opt into.
To send transactional emails (e.g. password reset) when you request them.
To prevent abuse, enforce terms, comply with law, and improve reliability and security.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed to run Rebedta with trusted service providers acting on our instructions, for example:

Hosting / database / API — where your account and device records are stored.
MQTT / messaging infrastructure — to route device messages.
Google — if you use features powered by Firebase or FCM, Google processes data under its policies as a processor/infrastructure provider.
Email delivery — to send account-related messages (e.g. password reset).

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of users and the service.

4. Retention

Account & device data: kept while your account is active and for a short operational wind-down after deletion (see our account deletion page for deletion steps and typical backup/log retention up to ~90 days).
Logs: often rolled within about 90 days unless a longer period is required for security or legal reasons.

5. Security

We use industry-reasonable safeguards (including encryption in transit where HTTPS/TLS applies, hashed passwords for email login, and access controls on servers). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we work to reduce risk.

6. Your choices and rights

Depending on your region you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, or to object to certain processing. To delete your account, follow the process on our dedicated page:

7. Children’s privacy (under 13)

Rebedta is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has provided us personal data, please contact us immediately with the subject line Rebedta - Under 13 privacy concern and we will take steps to delete such information where required.

If your Play listing targets children (including mixed audiences), you must comply with applicable laws (e.g. parental consent where required) and Google Play’s Families policies — update this policy and your in-app disclosures accordingly.

8. International transfers

Our servers and providers may be located outside your country. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards as permitted by law (e.g. contractual clauses or adequacy decisions).

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top will change for material updates; continued use after notice may constitute acceptance where allowed by law.

Google Play tip: Your Store listing should accurately describe what data the app collects (including via SDKs), how it is used, and any optional permissions. Misalignment between the listing, in-app behaviour, and this policy is a frequent source of policy issues — keep them consistent and review Google’s User Data policy regularly.

เด็กอายุต่ำกว่า 13 ปี: Rebedta ไม่ได้ออกแบบให้กลุ่มเด็กอายุต่ำกว่า 13 ปี โดยเจตนา และเราไม่รู้จักเก็บข้อมูลส่วนบุคคลจากเด็กในวัยดังกล่าว หากพบเห็นโปรดติดต่อทางอีเมลด้านบน หากคุณกำหนดกลุ่มเป้าหมายรวมเด็กใน Play Console ต้องปฏิบัติตามกฎหมายและนโยบาย Families ของ Google และอัปเดตนโยบาย/แอปให้สอดคล้อง
